On behalf of the Prime Minister, Chief of Air Staff Masihuzzaman Serniabat handed over the national flag to the Unit Command for setting the national standard. The Prime Minister said that his government has formulated 'Forces Goal-2030' keeping in view the far-reaching work plan and vision of the Father of the Nation. He said his government has already added to the Air Force a variety of fighter aircraft, including MiG-29s, state-of-the-art avionics-enriched transport aircraft, utility helicopters, state-of-the-art training aircraft, high-powered air defense radar, ground-to-air missile training, new missiles and new missiles. The Prime Minister said, 'The Bangabandhu Complex of international standard has been constructed at this base for the Air Force Academy to improve the training of the officers. We have established Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University with the aim of expediting space research, the country's air force and civil aviation. Since its inception, the 11 Squadron has been carrying out important responsibilities such as providing basic flight training to the Air Force cadets. Besides, the squadron has been successfully training the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and military pilots of friendly countries. The Prime Minister said 21 Squadrons are dedicated offensive squadrons of the Bangladesh Air Force. This squadron started its journey by operating FT-6 and A-5 warplanes. The squadron was later joined in 2015 by a 4th generation Yak-130 Combat Trainer aircraft, which made the 21 Squadron more powerful and reliable in its defense of airspace. "Currently, this squadron is conducting observation missions at the highest end of our air defense detection zone, which is really commendable," he said.
